Clinical Social Worker
A clinical social worker is a mental health professional with training in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of emotional disorders and mental illness. Clinical social workers are skilled in helping with problems of living and  facilitating personal growth and development. Professional services can be provided in the context of individual, family, marital, and group psychotherapy and in consultation and education within private and public organizations.

Clinical social workers specialize in, but are not limited to, addressing such individual, interpersonal and social problems as:

Depression and anxiety
Developmental problems
Drug and alcohol dependence
Eating disorders
Family conflicts

Professional clinicians work with a broad range of populations including children, adolescents, adults and older adults in all socioeconomic and racial populations.  Clinical social workers provide about 65% of all therapy in the mental health field.
