NCSCSW member, Gael McCarthy, will present on promoting attachment between children and their caregivers, particularly those children in adoptive, foster or kinship care. Her workshop "Promoting Secure Child-Caregiver Relationships: the Whys, the Hows and the Challenges" developed from her doctoral dissertation findings and her many years of clinical experience working with children and families. She will present on Saturday October 20 at the UNC School of Social Work 9:00-11:30.

On Friday November 2, internationally known marriage and family therapist, Terry Real, will be discussing his concept of relational living and applying these principles to clinical work with couples. Mr. Real is recognized for his work around men’s and couples issues.
