Welcome to NCSCSW's Blog

Welcome to the North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work’s inaugural blog post!

We are hoping to create a space where clinical social workers across North Carolina can contribute their thoughts and experiences to share with their colleagues. The intent of this blog is to provide readers with a variety of features and opinions regarding current events, individual clinicians and agencies, self-care, social work education, policy changes, state wide advocacy efforts, private practice suggestions, and various ethical dilemmas. We are here to discuss and consider all things related to clinical social work in an informal and professional atmosphere. We want to be a blog written by clinical social workers for clinical social workers.

Our goal is for our readership to feel engaged and contribute to the content of the blog. We want to hear from you about what matters in your everyday practice.  We want to share your experiences with the entire network of social workers across the state and foster community among ourselves. And in doing so, provide you with valuable information to help support you in your endeavors to be better social workers.

Writing, Blogging, Air Mac

Our writings will echo our mission of education, advocacy, and support. Since its founding in 1979 The North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work (NCSCSW) has been the only professional organization specifically for clinical social workers in North Carolina. NCSCSW promotes high standards of professional education, ethical practice and achievement and works towards increasing the expertise of clinical social workers. Blogging will allow us to reach you more often and continue the efforts we have made for nearly 40 years to be your first resource for your needs as a clinical social worker.

Thanks for reading and come back often.
