In this training, participants will reflect on their ethical responsibility to create accessible spaces and services for their clients. Participants will explore the dimensions of disability and consider ways to continue to practice anti-ableism within their roles as clinicians. This conference provides 2 contact hours of continuing education credit for social workers. Certificates will be provided following the training. Erica Smith owns a private practice and also works as a Clinical Director with a group practice. She is a clinical supervisor, EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant, and equity educator. Erica primarily serves individuals who have experienced trauma, specifically interpersonal violence, chronic illness, racial trauma, and/or religious trauma. After being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus when she was 12 years old, and Intertestistial Lung Disease as an adult- she has experienced multiple hospitalizations, surgeries, medical tests, and prescription changes over the past decades.
