Saturday, February 10, 2024, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM EDT
Category: Virtual Trainings

Training Description:

Chocolate and flowers with a side of societal pressure, anyone? Whether your Cupid's #1 fan or wish you could press the fast forward button, V-day often casts an internal spotlight full of "shoulds" on the state of our relationships, dating lives, and sexualities. In this workshop, we will explore the ways sexual shame and stigma impact us, and how to support your clients in challenging these messages! You'll leave with activities and resources to show sexual shame the door-- on V-Day and every day.
Participants will receive 2 CE Credits.

As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the science of sexual shame and its impact on client's self-concept, growth, and sexual functioning.
  • Identify effective techniques for disrupting the impact of sexual shame and stigma.
  • Support clients with a variety of concrete resources and activities that challenge sexual stigma and build sexual self-compassion.
